Thread: spring brands

    Default spring brands

is any spring manufacturer better than the other is is it just preference? anyone had any unusual failures?

My opinion is that the Afco springs are superior, I used Hyperco and had a problem with them losing free height and messing up my scaling after a half season. However I know some people who love the Hyperco too, so it may be preference, and I prefer the Afco springs.

Personally had great success with the Hypercoil retaining the spring rate that it started life as. One needs to check any spring when new and then periodically. It will tell you what springs not to run....trust me. Some spring companies rating system simply sucks.

Hyperco and Eibach are the only two that I have found to have accurate spring rates, and they stay consistent. Landrum makes a good spring too but the wire they used is larger diameter which means higher probability of coil bind.
