Thread: sidebite on RR under entry HELP

  1. Default sidebite on RR under entry HELP

The track I'm running gets pretty hard and slick and I'm having issue with getting side bite on the RR when entering the turn. When the track glazes over a bit, the car is very hard to drive under entry. I could loop it very easily if I don't take it easy. Also, it's obvious to me that I'm getting beat there a little bit. Any suggestions on how to improve this sidebite under entry? I'm not sure I can load the RR up any more without sacrificing forward bite. I'm not sure that I can put any more angle in my panhard/J-bar without sacrificing forward bite. Any suggestions?

    what type of bar angles?

I once read a more famous guy give advice that to tighten entry was simply more spring in the left front/right rear. That actually was cited for side bite all the way around the corner.

As OJ said, you really need to give a little info about your current setup. Adding RR as mentioned above would be a likely way to add rear sidebite providing the setup is close otherwise but we don't even know if you are on a 4 bar car, j-bar or panhard bar, running low/no wedge, three wheel brakes, what the spring rates are, etc.
