Thread: 4 link shocks

  1. Question 4 link shocks

We resently converted an old Z link car to 4 link and it is tight getting in the corner. The springs are on the bird cage RR in front and LR behind with shocks opposite. It could be the shocks or springs.

Assuming the Z-link had the springs mounted on the lower bars (like a swing arm) then it most likely the spring rates. How were the springs mounted on the z-link? on the cage or the lower bar?

Not enough info to answer the question accurately.

The RR was on the swing arm and the LR was on the cage

Right now we have 225RR, 250 LR, and I don't remember which shocks. I'm not sure on the front springs. The numbers are L 53.8%, R 54.0%, CR 50.5%, and 53 lb. of bite. RR bars, top 14' bottom 5', left top 28' bottom 10'.

When we run ours true 4-bar with RR in front and LR behind on C/O kits we use 175 straight across w/ 650 LF and 750 RF. This is on a Chevelle stub car. Currently we are running swing arm with the springs on the lower bars. 275 LR, 250 RR and the same fronts.

you will need a 8/2 or 7/2 on the birdcage in front on the lr.

you need to find out what front springs and also what clip it is

is your left% with driver or without?

thats also alot of angle in the lr bars.
