Lancaster Speedway is excited to announce the Inaugural “CAROLINA CROWN” to be held on March 16th & 17th, 2012. The St. Patrick’s Day weekend special will feature teams and fans from allover the US. Lancaster Speedway, a fast door-to-door high banked ½ mile track is known as “The Fastest Dirt Track In The South”. The Carolina Crown event will pencil itself in the record books as being the largest dirt late model event in the South Carolina state history and sets year 58 at the legendary track in motion!
The $20,000 to win super late model unsanctioned event, will bring some of the nations most popular super late model drivers and teams. Offering a treat for local, regional, and national fans!
The Carolina Crown will also feature a Crate Late Model special and other supporting divisions; super streets, pure streets, and crate sportsman. Totaling two exciting nights of racing with five divisions! In addition, all divisions will see raised purses.

Just over a week ago, Lancaster Speedway announced the Inaugural “CAROLINA CROWN” to be held on March 16th & 17th, 2012.
The show’s birth has got fans and competitors wondering details behind the exciting event and those details are here!
In addition to the $20,000 to Win Super Late Model event, the NDRA sanctioning body (www.ndraracing.com) will have on tap,
a $3,000 to Win “ROAD SHOW” race for the Crate Late Model division.
The weekly classes will see exciting purses for their events:
including a Super Street $700 to Win, Pure Street $600 to Win and Crate Sportsman $500 to Win show.
At the end of night #1, the three supporting divisions will be given a very unique opportunity to strut their stuff in a “DONUTS” competition, where fans will decide who takes home the $200 prize!
Advanced ticket sales will be offered online soon at a discounted 2 day ticket price of just $40! (SAVE $15)

The Carolina Crown will be offering a special opportunity to Super and Crate Late Model drivers offering 3 provisional starting positions in those main events. One of those provisional’s being the earliest post marked pre-entry form of a competitor that doesn’t qualify into the main during a qualifying race.
Entries will begin being accepted on Tuesday January 10th.
Any forms received with a post marked date earlier than Tuesday January 10th will not be qualified for the earliest post marked provisional.
