When checking bump steer i have always done it with the wheels straight forward. Would there be any difference or advantage to checking it or setting it with the wheels turned right 10-15*. Seems like the amount of time the car spends counter steered might play into it. On the other hand maybe the bumps stays consistent no matter where the wheel is.

I think checking it straight on is the besy way. A bumpsteer gauge is good for checking for slop in the suspension and two dimensional bumpsteer analysis. I don't know of a gauge that measures bunpsteer in the dynamic state, which is most important. Ifthey do hae something like that its probably expensive.

What would you be willing to pay for something that would do exactly what you describe (straight or turned)?

It does exist -- can be built for dollars. It is not in production and is only in house intellectual property at this time. Am only posting as am trying to define if there would be an interest to those visiting this forum.
