Lexington, KY (February 7, 2006)- Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has signed Sunoco Face Fuels as the Official Fuel for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2006. The series is excited to be associated with Sunoco and have the opportunity to use the many Sunoco retail outlets as a marketing tool to promote the series in several markets across the country. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will implement a special contest for the racers in 2006 called “The Race For Gas” by Sunoco Race Fuels. The top three finishing Sunoco Race Fuels drivers at each event will earn points throughout the year and a special award will be presented by Sunoco Race Fuels to the driver that earns the most Sunoco points during the year.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season opening event on February 3rd at Golden Isles Speedway was cancelled due to rain. The first event of the 30th annual “Winternationals” was held last night at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton FL. The series will continue with five more events at East Bay Raceway Park with the final “Winternationals” event being run Saturday February 11th paying $12,000 to the winner.
