caliper bracket spacing

When moutnign the caliper brackets what is the spacing supposed to be between the rotor face and the caliper bracket, using 810 rotors and metric calipers. I was thinking it was like 1 1/8 or 1 1/4 etc. Cant remember for sure though.

I come up with 1.5" from the pinion side of the brake bracket (caliper mounting surface) to the inside of rotor.

Bolt The Caliper To The Bracket,put In New Pads,slip Over The Rotor,apply The Piston With Air And Weld The Bracket On. You Cant Miss That Way.
