What are the hp and rpm limitswith a set of the 6'' rods? Thanks

Oliver doesn't put horsepower and rpm limits on their products because it all depends on piston weights and how the horsepower is achived. You could make 800 hp with a 300ci engine at 10,000 rpm or it could be a 400ci engine at 7,000 rpm.

O.K. if we have to get silly, and since I doubt anyone on these web sites is running a 300 c.i. engine. It would be a 383 c.i. 18* engine turning exactly 7734 rpm, not one rpm less or more. Hope that narrowed it down enough, if not my money spends anywhere. Thank you.

Who is being silly besides you.You asked a question and I answered it.There are lots of less than 300ci in drag racing.

Not a drag racing site, and I kind of figured my username may help.

That was an example. How is anyone supposed to know what size engine you have or how heavy your pistons are or what rpm you are turning.HP ratings mean nothing. Its how you achieve your horse power that matters.

Saved a bunch of time, went to the Oliver site. It listed the ultra light rods for a 350 c.i.,9-1 compression, and 390 c.f.m. carb. Thanks anyway, I have no use for a very expensive set of B mod rods. "Out"

The website didn't put a horse power rating on them either did it ?

No, but I have enough sense to know that the description above would be a very low horsepower application. I would assume somebody in the know surely has had that combo on the dyno and could give some ball park HP numbers.
