Springfield IL: (1-22-06) Two exciting events occurred at the Midwest Speed Expo held this past weekend at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield IL,
First, Hoosier Tires along with the Crate American Racing Series, (C.A.R.S.) will be offering a one-time deal on the Hoosier WRS-2-55 tire to all teams that plan to participate in the C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series. If you order your tires by Jan. 30 & pick them up by Feb. 5 you can purchase them for $111.50. After this date the tires will be increased to $124.50. Don't miss out on this deal! Rick Heck of the Mt. Vernon Speedway is in charge of taking orders please call him, his numnber is 618-242-4500. The WRS-2-55 tire is the only tire allowed by the C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series.You need not at this time be a member of C.A.R.S. to order, but if you are planning to participate in the C.A.R.S. The second part of the exciting news from the Midwest Speed Expo came from a late night round table meeting between the Owners/Promoters of the top four Raceways in the Midwest. The Paducah International Raceway, Paducah KY, The Mt. Vernon Raceway, Mt. Vernon IL, The Tri City Speedway, Pontoon Beach IL, and The Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway, Calvert City KY, have put the wheels in motion, planning a special four-day weekend. It is set for the 2006 Memorial Day Weekend for the Competitors of the C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series. Complete details, payouts and special incentives are being workout at this very minute and will be announced in the up coming weeks.
