Wanting to know what people have used for static rear steer. I will be running a 1/4 mile, stop and go, tight corners. How much is too much? Car is a 4 bar. Thanks

I have been 2" back on the rr w/a 4 bar car.

The most I've ran is 5/8". Noticed a big difference in helping turn the car. I bent the pinion plate and birdcage that night, not sure if it was related or caused from banging wheels with the boys. Sometimes its more like demolition derby you know.

1/2" to 1" is very common. That said, some guys run more (much more), and some run less. A 1/4" change in static steer is the minimum amount I would make at one time, and 1/2" is the max I would make at one time. A 1/4" change to the static steer will be very noticeable.
Give the car what it needs.

Generally, I'd like to see 1/4" to 3/8" trail as a STD for most cars and adjust from there if needed. I also feel more then 1" is a crutch, if you need more then that you likely need to revaluate your set-up. There are tracks, cars or limitations on the cars and situations that may require more then that 1" but should be in the minority NOT the majority. If you constantly need more then 3/4" or 1" then you may need to more the rearend to the right some and reconfigure.
That is a general statement and everyones situation can be different, but with a open LM and a typical track that should pretty much hold true.

Maybe this is were im going wrong. I hate running anything other than heads up. I dont like the feel I get when I start moving my rearend back and forth.
To each their own. Good luck.
