I've got a new set of the Comp stainless rocker arms to replace my worn out aluminum rocker arms. Upon installation, I notice there is insufficient clearance between the rocker arm and retainer. The underside of the rocker may be touching the retainer. If not, I know it's way too close. My question is what is the simplest way to gain clearance without reinventing the wheel? Would a longer pushrod do the trick, lash caps, etc? Once again, all replies and suggestions are appreciated.

Longer pushrods or lashcaps won't solve the problem.Only solution is smaller diameter springs or grinding on the rockers. This is a common problem and Crower makes a rocker arm with a backset fulcrum to solve it.Since you have new rockers and probably don't want to buy more then smaller springs or grinding is the only solution.
