View Full Version : O'Reilly USCS Speed Week 2008 kicks off at Riverside International Speedway on Saturday (5/24/08)

Atlanta, GA - May 13, 2008 - The O'Reilly Auto Parts United Sprint Car
Series "Speed Week 2008" www.uscsracing.com (http://www.uscsracing.com) kicks off at Riverside
International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Saturday night, May
24th. The 3rd Annual "Rumble at the River" special event serves as Round #1
of the O'Reilly USCS Speed Week 2008 at the fast 1/4-mile high-banked gumbo
clay oval.



The race will be the opening round of seven races over eight days located in
a close proximity in the Mid-South for the series. This event is also set to
be race number eight on the season for the Nationally touring O'Reilly USCS
sprint car drivers who also race on paved ovals. The O'Reilly USCS is the
only winged outlaw sprint series in the World that races on both dirt and
paved surfaces.



The special event is expected to bring top winged outlaw style sprint car
drivers from at least eight states to the track. An action packed O'Reilly
USCS sprint car racing program will include test and tune hot laps followed
by the evening's first sprint car race, the Lucas Oil Power Dash that
showcases the top six cars from the previous O'Reilly USCS main event in an
edge-of-your-seat six-car shootout. Next up will be qualifying heat races
and a Last Chance/B-Main race(s). The evening's grand finale will be the
30-lap "Rumble at the River" A-main event.



Also on the Memorial Day weekend holiday program are several of Riverside's
weekly Saturday night racing divisions including the Limited Late Models,
Riverside Stock Cars, Mini Stocks and 305 Non-Wing Sprints. The sprint car
race will award O'Reilly USCS National Championship points as well as O'Reilly
USCS Mid-South Thunder regional series Championship points. The O'Reilly
USCS Mid-South Thunder regional series primarily consists of races in
Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri and West Tennessee.
