*CAMARGO**, **IL** (**05-06-08**) by Robert Cortum - **Midwest** All Star Series*
The O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series continues to expand their 2008
assault in the Midwest. The series announces a shift in the schedule
for the season that is going to be both a benefit and an opportunity for
additional racing.
Mark your calendars for June 6^th as the “Best in the Midwest” will be
making a 2-night show at the famed Lawrenceburg Speedway in
Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The series already has the facility slated for
June 7^th as a $3,000 to win and has worked a 2-night deal which will
pay the traditional $2,000 to win/$200 to start for the first night.
Series and Track Officials have decided to shift the scheduled August
2^nd event at the Montgomery County Speedway in New Florence, MO to July
26^th . The move will allow for a much larger car count and the ability
for many of the O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series superstars to compete
at the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions sanctioned “Thunder
Through the Plains.”
The June 28^th date scheduled for Poinsett County Raceway in Harrisburg,
Arkansas has been canceled. Many top drivers were looking forward to
competing at the facility in 2008, however, track officials have decided
to back out of the scheduled event. Series Officials are working hard
making negotiations to replace this date with an additional race at
another venue.
Keep watching for details about these upcoming events as they develop.
