Hi has anyone seen any two bar late models on dirt? running trailing arms and a toque absorber?

Last one I saw or remember was several years ago, that Jeff Taylor was trying at the Spooker. I think he only ran it that one time, it was a GRT.

I haven't seen one, but it doesn't surprise me that Billet has... I've heard of a couple of guys messing around with torsion bar rears, but not 2-bar. I've heard quite a few guys in e-mods run that style rear suspension.

My sons old modified was of that design. It had tabs welded on center of the rear end tubes facing forward and then a set of brackets between the normal 4 bar brackets up front. The bar lengths were really short as in about 14" center to center. And then a single pull bar on top of the rear end running forward.

The was good in the mud here the Bowl, but any hint of the track going slick and it was bad. It seemed that the rear bars were just too flat and even the "all the way up" adjustment was not enough.

Mid to late '90's Howe Dirt Late Models sold through Precision Performance in Cosgrove, Iowa were 3 link cars. Long bar on right, short bar on left, bars mounted mid height on front side of rearend via a verticle bolt through rubber bushed bar and a set of tabs on the front of the birdcages. Ran with either pull rod, 5th coil or a combination of the two. Were some successful cars around here with that setup. Talk to Brian Birkhoffer, think he had one back then.
