Ok..I know the car should pull a little to the lft..but how much is normal, on my super stock you can barly feel it...but this latemodel pulls very hard. I tried changing caster and camber but nothing seems to affect it.

Is there anything else that could cause this...and what settings are most people running....its a 98 mastersbilt....

Caster or caster Split has the biggest influence on puling left, if your talking pulling to the left as in the steering wheel pull.

Make sure you don't have the LF on negitive caster in stead of Positive, look straight down on the balljoints. Positive caster is when the upper is behind the lower. The more split you have the harder it will pull, meaning more positive on the RF then the LF the more it will pull left. Most cars use around 1.5 to 2.5 more caster on the RF to make them pull left.

Hope that helps.

When I went from SS to late model, I was suprised at how hard they pull to the left, too.
I get tired from holding on to mine, to keep it going straight, under caution.

Didnt know if that was still true? I drove one once and couldnt believe how hard it pulled, but the faster I went the straighter it drove. I havnt been in one in many years, I leave the driving up to Bro., and nope dont want his job!

I've had nights that you could just about let go off the steering wheel and the thing would go around the track by its self,.....but you better be holding on to it, if you slowed down for a caution!

Thanks...that is gonna take some getting used to...I got it down from +4 to +2 on the rf...so now I can at least hold it straight with one hand...barely

The reason is not caster or camber. It is due to the fact that you went from a gearbox to a rack and pinion. The lighter the servo bar the more you will feel the effect of the car and settings. I have been in two identical cars and all settings. the only difference was the rack. the main car i work on has a light bar, in the pits you let go of the wheel it turns left. the other car had a harder bar, it would barely pull when you let go of the wheel. when on the track with the light bar you could feel the car a lot better. with the hard bar it was more difficult to tell how the car was from the reduction in feel from the steering wheel.

Thanks...that makes sense...was wondering, cause both my cars have the same settings and the super hardly pulls at all...
