TAMPA, FL…….2/13/08…..East Bay Raceway Park continues its 32nd Annual Winternationals racing events with Open Wheel Modifieds set to present three nights of fast action starting Thursday, February 14 and wrapping up on Saturday with a big $8,000-to-win finale.
Drivers from 12 states have pre-entered and over 100 cars are expected to be in competition for this 9th Annual Modified Winternationals. There has not been a repeat winner thus far with Kevin Weaver being the initial victor, followed by Dan Hamstra, Bob Pohlman, Jr., Jimmy Owens, Chad Kinder, Joel Cryderman, Devin Dixon and Ray Guss, Jr.
The Crate Late Models and Mod Lites will stage their annual Winternational portion of the show starting with a practice on Wednesday, February 20 and racing on Thursday, February 21 through Saturday, February 23.
All events have a 7:00 PM start time for racing and spectator gates open at 5:00PM.
East Bay Raceway Park kicks off their regular season on Saturday, March 1, 2008. The track is located off Exit 250 (Gibsonton) on Interstate 75. Take Gibsonton Drive west to SR 41 and then old Route 41 to signs for the track.
