Stormpay.com Late Model Series Fall Nationals $3,000 to win!
Plus Modifieds $2,000 to win and PTGP Championships

Columbus, MS- The 7th Annual Possum Town Grand Prix will conclude at Columbus Speedway on Saturday December 1st after action was halted due to rain during hot laps last Saturday afternoon. The big event had another huge turnout of race teams and looks to have good weather for this Saturday’s conclusion to the
New drivers are welcome to attend as the Super Late Models and Stormpay.com Late Models did not see action due to the rain and all newcomers are welcome to take part of the complete shows on Saturday evening December 1st. Local division drivers are also welcome to tag the tail of the fields for the respective divisions.
The rescheduled race will once again feature the Super Late Model division with the $5,000 to win 50-lap PTGP Championship as the headline event of the Saturday night session. The format will call for group qualifying, an expected 4 qualifying races, and main events each night. As always a good field of Super Late Model drivers are expected to return as Mike Boland topped a strong 47-car field on the Friday event over Ken Schrader and Don O’Neal.
The Crate Racing USA Fall Nationals will culminate during the evening session on Saturday night as the bad boys of the Stormpay.com National Touring Series join the fray to compete in their 40-lap $3,000 to win main event that will play a huge roll in determining their series champion, who will receive $20,000 for their efforts. A star studded field is expected in this open competition for the Stormpay.com Late Model Series with some drivers expected to pull double duty for the weekend. Over 50 Stormpay.com Late Models had already signed in for the Saturday show before rain postponed the action.
Anybody that has ever been to the PTGP know that the Open Wheel Modified class is a huge part of the show and this year will be no different as the hard charging Modified pilots will be battling for $2,000 to win on their William Wells Auto-Tire-Towing PTGP Fall Championship main event on Saturday evening. Modified will have B-Mains during the Saturday afternoon session with their main event Saturday night. As always the Mod drivers put on an entertaining show at Columbus Speedway.
There will also be a Fall Championship for the Street Stocks paying $800 to win with and B-Mains and their main event on Saturday afternoon.
The Late Model Stock/Crate Model division will have the Fall PTGP Championship with a $1,200 to win 20-lap main event. Their main event will be held during the Saturday evening session.
Driver’s meeting is at 1pm on Saturday afternoon.
Afternoon session action targeted at 2:30pm and evening session action targeted at 6pm on Saturday.
Grandstand admission is free on Friday night practice with $15 pit passes.
Adult admission is $20 on Saturday with pit passes $30 on Saturday.
Camping is free. Lawn Chairs and coolers are welcome.
