NASCAR Night "Race of Champions" Schedule of events released.
BDS Racing Promotions has announced the itinerary for the July 21st event for West Virginia Motor Speedway. While a strict time schedule will be a top priority, all times are approximate and may be altered to enhance the night's program.
Those NASCAR drivers who will be involved in competing at Pocono Speedway on that weekend will depart Long Pond, PA at 4:00 pm. The arrival of all five NASCAR celebrities at WVMS is slated for 6:10 pm. A brief press conference
is scheduled for 6:20-6:35 for those with press credentials only.
Directly after the press conference the drivers will be guests to a VIP meet and greet with Make-a-Wish families, followed by dinner. At 7:30 fans will be in for a real treat when they will be able to get autographs from their favorite driver during a 60 minute autograph session.
At approximately 8:50 drivers will climb into their respective late models provided by local racers and take to the track for about five laps of practice. At 9:00 the main event "Race of Champions" will ensue with two exhibition races for Schrader, Marlin, Blaney and the younger Wallace.
Itinerary:
4:00 pm Drivers leave Pocono
6:10 pm Drivers arrive at WVMS
6:20 pm press conference
6:40 pm VIP meet and greet
7:30 pm autograph session
8:50 pm ROC hot laps
9:00 pm Race of Champions
