driveshaft length

Ok...I have a 98 mastersbuilt with a bert tranny. From the back of the u-joint cup on the yoke to the start of the transmission shaft is 42" its 42 1/2 " to the back of the transmission. Will a 39" driveshaft work?

Rule of thumb is three fingers between yoke and tailhousing.

The best way to check is to put the left upper bar all the way up and the right bar in the middle. Jack the car up (under the seat area/4 link brackets) and see if it hits. Once the left rear tire looses contact with the ground check the shaft.
