I used to go all the time when it was in Indy, I haven't went since it has moved to Florida. I don't think Biz has went since it let Indy also. But if he goes just look for him at one of the strip joints.

Last time I went to Indy I wasn't sure I was going to get home. I decided to fly instead of driving (big mistake). On the way out we flew to chicago (all that was fine) then was waiting on the connecting flight when they announced that there was going to be a delay as the needed to check the engine (small turbo prop plane - why such a small plane?). They said they would announce in 20 minutes whether the plane could go or be cancelled. I waited about 20 minutes and no announcement, so I went to the desk to ask: "Ohh that got cancelled, we called it out on the speaker" No they didn't I was sitting with 2 other people at the terminal. Anyway, since it got cancelled I tryed to get on the next flight. Guess what, filled up by the rest of the people that were supposed to be on my flight. They were smarter then me I guess and went up and got booked on that flight in case it cancelled. So we all have to wait for the next flight after that one. Finally got to indy 3 hours late.

Then the return flight: Flying from indy to chicago, but again the flight was delayed. Someone driving a delivery truck ran into the side of the plane and grounded it, so they had to get another plane (737) and load us up and fly to chicago. We got there and 2 1/2 hours late and just in time for the last connecting flight to Kansas. We get on the plane to go to Kansas and are taxing bak away from the terminal when some one darted behind the plane with a luggage truck and the pilot slammed on the brakes. They were using one of those thingies that attaches to the front landing gear to push the plane backwards, so when the pilot hit the brakes it put a tremendious load on the landing gear. So they had to get a tech to come out and inspect the landing gear as we sat in the plane. Needless to say after about and hour we finally got going andn we all figured the landing gear would collapse when we landed.

Long story short: It normally takes me 11 hours to drive and with the layovers and delays it took me 14 hours to get home. It just isn't much faster to fly since it is hard to get a straight flight anymore, then add in lost luggage, delays, cancellations, and Etc.

I'm not going to make it this year either. But I hear from all my buddies, that Orlando is nicer than Indy, I don't know, yet!!

Have fun No Rookie (my illegitmate father)

My dad has gone to the Orlando and Indy show and liked the Orlando show better. It was much larger. Also you could go watch pavement racing at night. I've only been to the Indy show a few years ago and had a blast.
Got to see Tony Stewart, Don Prudhome, and Bill Simpson was trying to burn up a piece of nomex with a torch while giving Prudhome shit.

I heard the dancers in Florida are better too. I must see this for myself one day soon. I can attest to those Indy girls knew how to work for their buck.
