Does anyone repair 1 piece lower control arms for the Rockets? I have 8 lowers, 2 new 6 used. It looks like a couple are bent. Paint is popped where the "A" cross bar meets bar that would act as the strut. I do not have a rocket. Just wondering if they are worth anything? Just looking to see if anyone has a jig to check and or repair. Or do you just throw them away and buy new? Thanks.

We are on a pretty god deal with our chassis builder and we asked about the same thing, We were wondering if they could be repaired cheaper. He said it would take more time to get a bent one straight and ready to weld than there guy takes to build 2 new ones.

Since you have new ones make up a little jig and see how far off they are. It might not be take much to fix them. Maybe even lay a good one on top of a used one and compare.

My advice, to EVERYONE, is to stay away from one-piece lowers. Rocket will tell you straight up that the only reason they sell them is to MAKE MONEY. People thought they "had to have them", so they make'em and make good money on them.
A two-piece design (lower and strut tube) is MUCH STRONGER and you can bend the strut tube and still use it. Heck, it can be in the shape of a 'W' so long as the two end points are where they need to be.
ALSO when it comes to lower control arms, spindles, upper control arms, and ball joints, DO NOT attempt to fix them. It will end up costing you more money in the long run (both performance based and crash repair) if you don't get it right and either the geometry is messed up or it breaks and you hit something. Don't screw around with the front end stuff. If it's bent or broke, replace it with new.
