Anybody tried this ? I've ran a 325 Rocket says CHUB's on a 275 !

Did Rocket tell you the rest of the set-up? I'm sure there is alot more than to just swapping out the rf spring.

That isn't really a coil bind set-up persay, however you will likely end up with coil bind as an side effect of running a really soft RF spring. There is really no real reason to run a coil bind set up on a dirt car, asphalt cars do because this sets the front end height down the maximun amount with out bottoming out the front valance. Their speeds are fast enough that you can gain more front grip with aerodymanic downforce by keeping the front valance planted to the track and this down force overcomes any loss of grip from having a solid spring. Point being you are using that rate of spring because you want that rate not because it will coil bind, the binding is an effect you deal with. Not so much trying to make it coil bind and a 275 may not go into coil bind anyway depending on the spring and the shock travel available and the rest of the set-up and track speed or conditions.

A 275 isn't the softest springs being ran by a long shot, and that wouldn't be out of charactor for Chub. It wouldn't be out there for him to have a 250 RF and a 700 LF.

What kind of driving styles require such a stiff LF(700) and soft RF(250) spring?

Probably a smooth and burnt up track style of driving.

The car should roll good through the corner then flatten out of the corner taking out the rear steer - just my theory.

BB pretty much nailed it. There is no specific "coil bind setup" being passed around by Rocket. Sure, people are running soft RF springs, but there is a method to the madness. A soft RF spring (to a point) will achieve certain things within the suspension and handling of the car, that with the right driver, can lead to improved handling, feel, and lap times. It ain't something that is rocket science, but if you think about the dynamics of the car, it should be come clear as to what the benefits are. To add to this, in my opinion, there is NO benefit to coil-binding a spring on a dirt car.
