After looking at the weather, we're not going to chance spending that much money on fuel and motels just to watch it rain.....maybe next time.

I tell ya, I've been to that show when they got 3" of rain in 2 hours and still raced it. Stokes does everything above what is expected to get this show in. But I can understand being hestiant, but I bet they get it in with it clearing in the evening Saturday

about the same as me waking mine up and asking for some loving...You get yelled at, then you go to sleep, hard, mad and hungry *GRIN*...Marriage is wonderful tool to defeat the evils of happiness and we can now add pinion to our fight, we just gotta get big bird hitched up

we just gotta get big bird hitched up
Why is it essential for other guys who mistakenly followed that path to wish harm or misery to us other guys that know better?
Being a “manly” man (pounding on chest here), here is my take on the subject (yes racing is over and were all bored, LOL):
I going to use a “Manly” man’s terms (again pounding chest) to describe marriage: (saying in a MANLY voice) Cars what else!
First, ask any guy after he has been married for a least a year or more:
Q: So how is the married life treating you?
A: (most common answer) AAHHH, it’s all right!
On to the rest of the analogy:
Say you are thinking about buying a new truck (back to the Manly mans analogy) and you are thinking about a new Chevy. So you have several friends that bought one and ask them:
Q; So how do you like the new Chevy truck?
A: AAHHH, it’s all right! (with a half snear look on thier face)
After that answer wouldn’t you think about looking at a Ford or a Dodge! You would definitely at least think twice about going right out and buying one, right. Now if you had gotten the answer:
A: (sticks out chest and acts very "manly") Awesome, best money I ever spent. This thing is awesome; it lets me drive it any time I want without complaints and looks just as good as the day I bought it a year ago. Also if I decide to trade it in I can get some of my money back out of it.
Now I have never ever and I mean EVER heard that reply to the marriage question or any answer remotely on the positive side, so why in the H$ll would you want to get married!!!! You usually get the head down unmanly unable to look you in the eyes answers like: I for some reason really like that Guns and Roses song, I used to love but I had to kill her. Or I really really needed this guys out night or I might do something stupid (what like get married - grin)
Sorry to all you saps outs there that make this mistake and thought with the wrong head and got married. Maybe this will shed a little light and save some others from making the same mistake that you all made.
Just a little constructive humor!

Marriage is a fine institution! (But who wants to be institutionalized?)

Second thing:
If you kids aren't crouched down with there heads between there knees and there hands over thier heads the minute you get home (like the old tornado drills from grade school - as you hid under you desk)
YOU FAILED AS A PARENT!!!!!!! (BIG GRIN)

Now come on Billet, It's great! I've been married to the same wonderful woman for 32 years. I have 3 great grown kids, 2 grand kids, life is good. We have great communication, do alot of things together plus have our own pleasures. Mine happens to be Dirt Late Models. She did not even comment when I told her I ordered 2 new cars for next year (and no Biz, I still won't adopt you!). Ya just have to find the right one..........

One positive answer out of 2,683 question asked, still not willing to make that commitment!
Plus you realize how much crap I would have to eat after talking all this junk about marrage for years if I got married. (BIG GRIN)
All in good fun!

I gotta admitt (and not just because she is looking over my shoulder, with a 9 to my head) that I wouldn't trade my wife or our marriage, for 2 new racecars. I do have a lady that will do almost anything I want and lets me have most everything I want as long as I can figure out how to afford it, and she goes out and cranks my car for me in the morning, so it will be warm for me *GRIN*
But I will admitt, most women now a days are not near as passive to her man, as mine is.

Exactly.............Eating crow only tastes good with BEER, a lot of salt and did I mention BEER!!! Hmmmm.......sounds like my woman has been cooking crow, all these years! She's a good woman, but her cooking ain't much. Her idea of seasoning something is to leave it in the freezer, from spring until fall!
