I was helping out on what I was told a 03 Rocket 2", Looking through the setup book from Rocket it says 6.25" RR ride height. Does that sound correct, seemed kinda low. Does not give much bar angle.
Car has swing-arm mounts, with Rocket bearing cages, 3 hole upper bracket.
Also what is the side to side demensions and axle lenghts if anyone would like to share.
I am sure there is more info in that book I just didnt have much time to look and work on our car and keep up with my kid with 250+ cars in the pits.

This is from RB on what the angles are on the RR (I don't have down the year of car), but that should tell you if your close on the ride hieghts.
RRT:
- Top: 22*
- Middle: 18*
- Bottom: 13* (where we scale at)
LRT:
- Top: 27*
- Middle: 23*
- Bottom: 18* (this is where we scale at)

That's on a newer car, 04 I think is the year they moved the 4 links up...6.25 is right and I want to say side to side is 16.25 from side of bell to the inside of frame rail on the RR (going from memory here which is scary)

Is that LRT with the short bracket on?

I'm pretty sure that was the STD LRU bar. I just looked thru some old emails from Rocketbonehead and that is what he listed after checking them himself.
Obviously how much stagger and LR bite you have are going to mess with that some.

What are the bar lengths with this model, and also the overall rear end length.that is tip of snout to tip of snout ( or maybe the tube lengths out of the bells) ?P.S. Thanks heaps with all the info that you guys provide for your fellow racers, you are a credit to the Late Model Division.

Clay,
how bad was that car hurt Sat night? Also who is that guy? Will he be racing with us next year? I see 30 cars in our future! Not bad for our second year.

He is from Lolita area, he raced off and on at Edna. He hadnt been in a car in 2yrs or so and never in that car, they just finished putting it together Friday night. The feature incident bent the LF spindle but other than that its just cosmetic. I hope your right, we may see "B" mains next year and they say "crates" are a bad thing. . .

What Billet posted is what I sent him after checking it myself (at ride heights WITHOUT driver). And yes, those were all with the standard bars. If I remember correct, i checked the angle with the short LRT bar on an older car, in top hole, and it was over 30 deg.
Now, since then, we've started running a higher RR ride height and a different side to side. RR- 6 1/2" (applies for ALL cars with TWM bearing cages) and Side-to-Side- 16 1/2" (2" car; 16 3/4" for 1 3/4" car).
Biz is also correct in that those angles were off a newer car (double slotted 4-link brackets, not single slot). I had the angles for the old mounts, but I can't seem to find them.

I tried to edit, but it won't let me, so here's additional info.
Raising the RR ride height will change the angles on BOTH sides (gotta raise the LR accordingly). Since then, I have only checked the RRB rod, in the middle hole (with driver), and it was +3 deg uphill to the frame.
