1 3/4 or 2in fame rails

what does everyone prefer 1 3/4 or 2 in rail cars and why.Pros and cons of each.Would really like to get everyones opinions on this.Thanks in advance

This has been discussed may times, you probably find some older post if you use the search with something like "1 3/4", 2, round, square, and tube in the search function and you should find something. Opinions vary and car brand may influence that a lot also. The thread about was on a masters and was just one I remember that I found easily.
