Concerning the other post on 3.750 stroke with 6" rod in an SB2.2,what is the shortest compression height you have seen in an SB2.2 piston ? I know in an 18* you can go to 1" but the valve pocket arrangement makes an SB2.2 different.The shortest that I have ever saw is 1.035 in an SB2.2

1.000 using the FSR forging and 1.2 x 1.5 x 3mm rings.the 1.2 top ring is back cut more than the .043 giving more thickness between the ring and int pocket. You can also taper cut the pin end of the rod if necessary.It also requires the use of older heads with larger combustion chambers the latest stuff in the 30s on chamber volume have the valve to close to the deck.Bill
