Bill,
What do you think about a 3.750 stroke with a 6" rod length ? I prefer the 6.125 rod but I'm stuck with a 9" block.SB2.2 with 284cc intake runners.

They run out a little quicker top end but will work ok in most applications.we ran an 18 deg engine with that stroke and rod a while back, had a lot of low end torque but was all done by 7500 rpm,the sb2 head flows much better so it wont run out quite so quick.Bill

Terry,
My SB@ is a 4.125 x 3.800 x 6" rod and driver/drivers hae been very very satisfied with it. Very smooth and just doesn't really quit pulling. We usually turn around 8000 to 8300, but have turned up to 8600 and flashed to 8800 a few times and doesn't seem to go real flat or anything extremely noticiable. It also has 286ish heads.
I wouldn't be to concerned about it, but I had tall deck block I would have used a longer rod for sure.

I've used a 6" rod with a 3.750 stroke in some of Bizkits 18* engines but never in an SB2.2
If I had a choice I would use a tall deck block and at least a 6.125 rod but I have this 9" block that I need to use.
