How many mod guys are running the LF stiffer than the RF?

It's not uncommon for us to have an 800 LF 550 RF on a slick smooth track.

If i can ask
what was your reasoning behind it did you soften the RF or stiffen the LF? What would you normally run for front spirngs on an medium track.

thats a bigger split than most mods run when they do the reverse split deal. usually only 100-50pds difference across the front like a 700-650 or a 750-650

We generally start 700 LF 650 RF.most modified can't get close to a 550 RF because the roll center is to far to the left.A basic explaination is as the track gets slicker you need more angle in the J-bar to tighten the car softening the RF will stick the front better in the slick, stiffen the left front to free it up on exit,as will the softer RF.Most modifieds don't have a problem with traction in the slick anymore, but I still see many that have the push in the corners from to much drive and a frontend that needs to stick better.

You say most mods roll-center is too far to the left too run that soft ? Are you saying that too far left you have to run a stiffer rf spring .I have always thought more to the right with the rc you had to run a stiffer spring and more left you could run a softer but i can also see the height of the rollcenter could have alot to do with it too lower run more spring higher run less spring. Sure like to hear your thoughts.

The farther to the left the roll center is to more weight rolls onto the RF.
Think of a teeter toter. If you move the pivot point (the roll center) more weight will be on the side farthest the pivot point.
