We need to replace rotors and calipers on our dlm. Does anyone have any preferences or know good or bad about the various suppliers? Is the US Brake stuff from AFCO good? How about Coleman? Any junk from China out there? We'll use Dynalite size calipers. Billet vs non-billet? What is the pros and cons on piston size? We have drilled rotors that didn't last too long compared to non-drilled we've used in the past-are there any wear issues with the drilled ones? Thanks for the help!

If your set on Dyna-lite sized calipers go with the billet ones. It far better to have too much brake then not enough. The billet DL's will brake similar to cast SL's but the cast DL's fall way short. If you are going to use SL's the cast ones are fine for just about everyone.

Drilled rotors have a tendency to crack easier then normal rotors, if you want to save wieght go with the waved rotors. They are lighter and have more of the mass removed from the largest OD of the rotor so it takes less to get it moving and less to stop it. Alot of guys run waved ones on the front and regular ones on the back because they use so much rear break. If you are extremely hard on brakes especially the rears (alot of rear brake and trail braking) you can over heat the waved ones and crack them.

Larger the piston the more pressure at the caliper with a cost of needing more stroke and having less feel at the pedal.

I like Willwood and their polymatrix pads, try the E compound.

I like the outlaw 3000xd calipers. I use them along with drilled rotors and polymatrix pads.

Thanks for the replies. We went with Willwood parts and pads. The reason we needed new rotors was that we put Hawk pads, Black compound on and they just destroyed the rotors after only a couple of weeks. We used to use these exclusively with good results and rotors lasted several seasons but sometime in the last few years they have evidently changed the compound.
