1) My driver must have learned how to trail brake last night, so stiffening the LF spring WILL NOT help tighten the car on entry since it's not setting down. Correct?
2) I have PPM cages with the horizontal slots for the top bar. If I run the bars in the back slot do I need to lengthen them so the cage stands straight up and down?
3) Dropping the RUB down makes the car think it has a softer RR spring due to cage indexing during chassis roll. Correct
4) How much bar angle is too much for the left upper? I was down 1 last night on an 07 Masters as per their setup sheets but I need more drive. Had 3 1/2" travel on the 5th arm should I go up 25lb. on spring? Had a 375 @ 37" on last night.

Thanks for the help guys.

1) In that case, stiffer lf will not help

2) Yes, You should always keep your birdcages clocked the same.

3) Yes ru down or rl up will decrease dynamic wheel rate

4) You can use the top hole on a Masters with the other end of the bar in the "standard" location. IE, not dropped down lower on the cage.

I am impressed with that amount of travel on the 5th coil at that distance out. You can try stiffening, but I have a feeling it will be too much. What valve shock on 5th coil? Are you sure it is good?

Mastersbilt Racer, thanks for your help. I have a 4c-7r on the 5th coil. I'm pretty sure it's good, only it's 2nd race. I'll check it later in the week.

Where did you race this past week wrench?

Ran Port sat. night, first race on the new baby. Missed on tires bad. Went with a 48 LR & RF, should have been 44's. LR tire didn't come in til halfway through the race and never even touched the RF. Car was fast when they got hot though. A few minor changes for next week and I'll try to put the right tires on. LOL

When we ran our GRT we kept the LF off of the ground any time we went long on the 5th coil. We just started to keep it in the first 2 holes (closest to the rear end) and stiffen the spring if needed. This helped with a push condition that is was creating by unloading the RF tire also.
