I see a lot of set-ups call for a 300# spring on the torque arm,i'll assume that these set-ups are for superlates and if this is the case would you change rates for a limited late or maybe change the length.
When you say limited late, what do you mean? Stock stub, all iron motor, narrow tires? Any and/or all of the above.

rocket chassis all steel motor 500hp.I think superlates are around 700hp or so.
more hp to buzz the tires with, just thinking you don't have to absorb so much thru the torque arm with less hp's maybe only compress it 1.5-2.0 inchs in stead of 3-3.5 should this transfer more to the rear wheels or is there no differance.
I know the tires are harder on my limited, how can you tell if the spring is to soft/stiff

if your getting more then 3-4" then its too much and less then 2 1/2 is too little. ideal area is 3 - 3 1/2". I would try it. then determine from there

Some of the Rocket guys been running a stacked spring on the 5th coil. 600 4" with 8" 400. How does this work? Anybody with experience with a stacked 5th coil?

That would be a 240 lb per inch spring.
