I'm ready to buy some new rotors and was hoping that there is someone out there that can educate me.

I'm running plain jane 1.25 rotors now.

Are any of the big guns running scalloped (front or rear)? Any recommendations?

What about .810 instead of the 1.25? Any disadvantage? Have people experienced any braking problems running the .810 (for 30 lap mains)?

Can any caliper set up for 1.25 be used with a .810 rotor? Do you just remove one of the spacers between the two halves?

thanks ahead of time for the info...

I have seen scalloped rotors on the front and rear of some of the "big guns". I can't really answer anything else. I just run 1.25" rotors myself.

Drilled rotors are about a 1 to 1 1/2 pound lighter then a STD 1.25 rotor were the scalloped rotors are more like 2 to 2.5 pounds light. Plus alot of the wieght is remove from the largest O.D. of the rotor which reduces the amount of energy to start or stop the rotor from turning.

I tried the .810 rotors after using 1.25 and could not tell any difference in braking in 25 lap features. I switched back to the 1.25's just because the other parts like spindles and such were more readily available.
