Rear spring running a 350#lr 275# rr, a 225 when rr on birdcage. I here peope talking about 300lr and 400 rr. Will that help tighten all the way through the corner. Also have a 550 lf 500 rf what would switching them do?

Here is what the rayburn guys say they are running:

Heavy

500/600
600/600

normal
500/550
400/400 swing arm

Slick
500-550/ 450-550
300/400 swing arm or 275 ro 300 on cage.

You are too soft on the RR which is why you have little sidebite.

If you flip-flop your front springs, that will tighten the car on initial entry, however it won't help tighten it as much as you roll deeper into the corner.

More rear spring, especially the RR spring, will help tighten the car on the later part of entry

The other important thing is not to have too much LR bite. Try to keep your LR around 200 lbs, and run about 54% left side.

If you follow CJ's advice, you'd start out with the baseline springs:
500/550
400/400

Then you would start to soften the LR spring (350 to 300) when the track drys out. If you need to tighten entry more you can soften the RF spring. If you need to tighten exit more, then you put more bar angle in the LR and take bar angle out of the RR. You can also move the pullbar to the left if you need more.

Good Luck!

Sorry, I meant :
If you run more LF spring than RF spring, that will tighten the car on initial entry.

Thanks for the reply. What is the correct way to set a pullbar?

What would be the different characteristics between running a 400rr on swing arm or a stiffer spring on the birdcage like a 275 or 300?

Thanks
