A customer of mine has a set he took out of a set of Hendrick's heads. I'm sending you a PM with his number. You race with him at times.

Check your PM's

You might call mike and see what he wants for them, you might get a real good deal on them.

The reason there is so much 5,6 and 7mm valves available is they won't hold up in roller cam dirt track applications.

I will have to disagree. Busch cars and the trucks run roller cam's with as much lift and spring pressure as we do.
Think about this the only time there is that much stress on a valve is when it is closed.
I know that they look scarey but so far they have not been a problem for me.

The Busch guys have a gear box in the car and don't need to pull from 4000 rpm on a restart, therefore there cams are a lot longer duration than what a super late model can run.the longer duration cams allow them to set the valve back down on the seat much easier than a short duration cam.6mm valves are not reliable according to Del West with short duration cams.you may get away with them for a while but then it will get expensive.Bill

Bill I know that you are a great engine builder and I do respect your opinion.
I'am not trying to start any kind of a agrument. But we all need to keep an open mind!!
Have you had trouble with them do you know anybody that has or was you like me at first and said no way that I would put them in one of my engine's.
Not trying to sound like a smarta## but I would imagine that the salesman
that you talked to at del-west work's on a commision pay plan.
Thank's Scott Bailey

We have had a lot of heads sent to us to repair and install the larger valves so I know there are a lot of failures out there when people try to just bolt on the heads.my friend John Barilika who is the cam designer at Hendrick also told me not to try the 6mm valves with the cam profiles we are currently using. He is going to grind me a can to try with the small valves with a closing ramp that is easier on the valve.he also said we would loose some H.P.
