Thought it would be interesting to see what everyones first adjustment is when they are attempting to tighten a car for a dry slick track.

I get my TC module out of the truck and put it in my pocket. That way I'm ready to plug it in the MSD box when I get in for the feature. LOL

I really couldn't answer that truthfully because I really don't think there one thing I do more then another.
It depends on the situation and what the car wants or needs. We have ran two nights (MLRA) and won both nights and only changed the j-bar a 1/4" on the pinion and adjusted shocks alittle from the start of the first night to the end of the second night. Then other times have just about every spring, shock, bar angles, lead placement, stagger, and Etc differnent and still got wins both nights. So much depends on the situation.
I would say the most common would be (in no order)
RF spring
LR spring
LR bars
J-bar
LF spring
RR lower bar
Shock valving
Tilt

So far this year the most I have changed from heats to mains is take out 1inch of stagger. And change my driving style a bit.

We change the gears. As the track goes from 13 to 14 to 15 seconds we go from 6.02 to 5.83 to 5.6. Its an automatic change every night.

does lowering both lower bars work well in slick conditions? I have seen this before and i understand the rear steer effect but its just seems you would take all the drive off out when you lower the left lower what will this do to sidebite?

Your lower links have less angle. If you simply think of them as steer links and the top ones as traction links, you will usually be focusing on the dominant effect of moving each. It is true that changes have multiple effects, but this simple rule usually works.

thanks for reply its just something I am just hesitant to try .our car is good in the slick but when its real dusty slick I think it could be better wish I would try more things but when you get 3 or 4 hot laps with track semi wet and race when dusty dry your race is just a test session and have to wait a week to retry. wish we all had more time to test
